Service Agreement 

Postal Unlimited® is excited to have you as part of our community and we want to ensure that you have the best experience possible. This service agreement outlines the terms and conditions for mailbox rental and other services provided by Postal Unlimited®. By using our services, viewing, signing, or paying invoices, you acknowledge and agree to this contract.

Mailbox Rentals and Office Use

To ensure that Postal Unlimited® continues to provide quality services to all of our customers, we require that customers use their rented mailbox solely for lawful purposes, and conform to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. This means that the customer is responsible for ensuring that any mail or parcels received in the rented mailbox are legal and do not violate any laws. We also require that customers protect, indemnify, and save harmless Postal Unlimited® from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising from the customer’s use or possession of the mailbox.

In the event of default in payment, Postal Unlimited® may withhold or refuse customer’s mail and may withhold mail indefinitely or return it to the sender. This is to ensure that Postal Unlimited® is able to collect payment for services rendered and that we can continue to provide quality services to all of our customers.

Concierge Services

We are pleased to offer concierge services which is an upgrade you may opt in to that will enhance your mailing experience with us. Our concierge services include mailbox rentals with deliveries redirected to your door steps from our mailbox facility. Other upgrades includes personalized secretarial services. By opting for these upgrades in services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Deliveries: For customers availing mailbox rentals with deliveries, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure timely and secure deliveries to your designated store location. Limitations on dimensional weight and quantity may apply. We shall not be held liable for any delays or losses caused by external factors beyond our control, such as no packages to redeliver, transportation issues, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.

2. Secretarial Services: Our personalized secretarial services enable you to communicate with LIN (our virtual assistant) or our head department through calls, emails, or text messages. While we strive to maintain the utmost confidentiality and accuracy in handling your requests, we cannot guarantee the complete security of information transmitted through phone calls or text messages. Therefore, we advise you to avoid sharing sensitive or confidential information through these communication channels.

3. Liability: While we endeavor to provide high-quality concierge services, we shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, losses, or claims arising from the use of our concierge services. This includes but is not limited to any errors, omissions, delays, or misunderstandings in the delivery of mail or secretarial services.

By using our concierge services, you agree to indemnify, protect, and hold Postal Unlimited® harmless from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from the use of these services. Additionally, you understand that these concierge services may be subject to periodic updates, changes, or adjustments, and you agree to abide by any future modifications to these services and their associated terms.

Our concierge services are an optional add-on to our standard service agreement, and by opting for these services, you signify your acceptance and compliance with the above terms. If you have any questions or concerns about our concierge offerings, please feel free to contact us.

Box Rental or Club MemberShip Use

The customer agrees during the rental term of this agreement to use the rented mailbox ONLY for lawful purposes and in conformation with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The applicant also agrees to protect, indemnify, and save harmless Postal Unlimited® from and against any and all claims, demands, and causes of action of any nature whatsoever, and any expense incidental to defense by Postal Unlimited® of any such demand or action arising out of or in connection with applicant’s use or possession of said postal box. This includes demands, claims, and causes of action for personal injury or property damage arising from such use or possession, failure of the postal service to deliver on time or otherwise any item (mail, parcels, etc.), damage to or loss of postal box contents by any cause whatsoever, and for any violation by the applicant of applicable federal, state, or local laws.

In addition, the applicant agrees that upon default in payment required by this rental agreement, Postal Unlimited® may, at its option, as security for rent owed, withhold or refuse the applicant’s mail during the period of default, and should the default continue, may withhold mail indefinitely or return mail to the sender.

Mail Forwarding

To ensure smooth mail forwarding services, it is necessary for us to have your updated address on file along with the required minimum deposit. You have the option to choose a higher deposit amount, but it should be in multiples of the minimum required amount. For instance, if the minimum deposit is $100 and your forward request is $198, you would need to make two deposits of $100 each, covering the $198 total and leaving a remaining balance of $2 for any additional mail forwarding needs. In case of a one-time use, two deposits of $100 would be required, resulting in a $2 credit which will be held for any future transactions.

The mail forwarding balance is used as a prepaid account, and we charge to this available balance each time we forward your mail at your request. You will be charged for shipping, labor, service, and materials used for each transaction. You may opt-in for automatic billing to recharge it or choose to pay your invoice which would be due when your balance reaches below a $25 threshold. You can turn automatic billing off anytime and add to it anytime. You must contact Postal Unlimited® when you would like your mail forwarded.

If you are not current, please note that your mail will not be forwarded, and any funds in the mail forwarding account will be held until your mailbox dues are current. It is important to ensure that you are current and compliant to avoid any interruptions in mail forwarding services. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Shipping & Freight

Postal Unlimited® agrees to ship all packages, freight, vehicles, and/or mail for the customer in accordance with all applicable transportation rules and regulations. We strive to ensure that your transport services are shipped safely and efficiently. However, Postal Unlimited® shall not be held liable for any damages or loss of any kind, including but not limited to damage to the items being shipped, damage to property or persons, or any other loss or damage resulting from the shipment or freight of any item.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are to be done in writing and act as a 30-day notice to vacate the mailbox. In order to cancel your Postal Unlimited® service, it is necessary to comply with the following conditions:

1. All keys provided for mailbox or facility access must be promptly returned to Postal Unlimited® 30-days (one month) prior to billing.

2. You are required to submit a written notice of cancellation one month prior to the next billing cycle.

3. Ensure your mail is no longer coming into our store. Please complete an address change with USPS UPS FedEx and update your senders. If you continue to come in to collect mail or call in for services regarding your account past your due date, you will be responsible for paying for that interval and your account may be sent to collections. 

We recommend when you cancel to turn in the keys immediately to avoid losing your keys and being subjected to paying the rekey fees. Additionally, it is essential to update your address information with Postal Unlimited® by providing notice of your new address within the specified timeframe. You are responsible to change your address to your new address. We can process RTS, return to sender, as long as all conditions are met. Please be aware that failure to meet these conditions may result in additional fees and/or collections. Your cooperation in meeting these requirements is greatly appreciated.

So to ensure a smooth cancellation process and to avoid any inconvenience, it is imperative that all keys provided for mailbox or facility access are returned to 30-days prior to your billing date. This policy is in place to prevent the need for follow-up and to safeguard against lost keys. It also acts as a safety precaution.

Please note that if the keys are not returned promptly, you will be held responsible for the current rekey fee. Kindly remember that mailbox rentals cannot be offered to new customers without the return of keys from the previous renter.

Recurring Billing Authorization

We understand that life can be busy and that it’s important to have reliable services that can make your life easier. All billing occurs on the first day of the month or earlier if in fact the first falls on a weekend or holiday. To make things more convenient for our customers, recurring billing is scheduled for automatic withdrawals at the interval requested, and may change during admin overrides, special rates ending, proper requests, or other.

Billing

We want to clarify our billing policy. We do not offer a pay-forward service, meaning any payments made before the first of the month will only be considered for the first of the same month. We do not prorate forward; instead, we prorate backward based on the specific service period.

For instance, if you initiate a payment on March 3rd, your service start date would be March 1st. Similarly, if you initiate payment on March 30th, your service start date would still be March 1st. In the event you chose a 3-month interval and initiated payment on March 15th, your start date would be March 1st and your next due date would be on June 1st.

Using this example, if you chose to cancel services, it would have to be initiated 30-days prior to your next due date. Example: If your next scheduled due date is June 1st, your written cancellation notice, keys return, and address change must be completed no later than May 1st.

By following this prorating method, we ensure fair and consistent billing practices, aligning payment periods with actual service usage. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these terms.

Same goes for if you wish to change your recurring billing. You must contact Postal Unlimited® 30-days prior to your scheduled recurring billing. If termination of services or your cancellation request is made within the 30-day timeframe prior to the scheduled recurring billing, there will be no proration or refunds of any services and we charge to the payment method on file. Each recurring billing covers your selected term, and while active, it cannot be rented to another individual. Cancel requests and other changes must be done in advance.

Limitation of Liability

Postal Unlimited® is committed to providing quality services, but there are some limitations to our liability. We shall not be liable for any damage or loss of any kind, including but not limited to damage to the items being shipped, damage to property or persons, or any other loss or damage resulting from the use of our mailbox rental and other services. The customer agrees that Postal Unlimited® shall not be held responsible for any damages or losses that occur during the shipping process, or as a result of the use of our services, including but not limited to late deliveries, lost or stolen mail, or damaged packages.

General Terms

We believe in providing quality services, and we take the security and privacy of our customers very seriously. Possession of a mailbox key or assigned keyless entry code will be considered authorization to remove mail. Do not share or make copies, and especially do not make copies for others. All copies are to be made by Postal Unlimited®. Any damages or vandalism will result in legal action and/or a lawsuit. Do not allow others inside when you are retrieving your mail. Ensure the door is properly secured after you’ve left. 

All customers are required to agree and adhere to all service contracts and updates prior to any rendering of any services. This means that you must agree to abide by all the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement and any future updates or changes that may occur.

Additional Terms

Postal Unlimited® is committed to providing quality services to all of our customers. Rates may increase over time and may incur additional charges if usage goes beyond its parameters. Late payments will result in late fees, as well as mailbox suspension until payment is received. Subleasing is not permissible, and your service is only to be used for yourself and up to five members of the same household.

Customers signing up as a business entity, subcontractor, or for use other than typical use for a mailbox must adhere to any updates, changes, rates, fees, and updates applicable. Changes may occur and take effect immediately. All contracts state clearly that rates are for your mailbox and not excessive parcels, handling, storing, etc.

Please be informed that as stated in the contract, the rates for our services may be subject to increase and other adjustments over time. Additionally, there may be additional fees for any and all service requests, storing, handling, excessive mail, dimensional weight, and for parcel drops and pick-ups. We want to ensure that our valued customers are aware that these increases and adjustments are a natural reality in the industry, and this serves as the notice of such possibilities. As we implement any new rates or fees, they will be reflected in the recurring billing associated with their mail services or account and charged to the billing method on file.

Postal Unlimited® reserves the right to terminate services immediately in the event of non-compliance with our policies or any belligerent behaviors, threats, or confrontations. We prioritize maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all customers and staff members. Please note that there will be no prorations, refunds, or returns available for any services. We recommend carefully considering your service needs and commitment before initiating your subscription or requesting services. Our team is available to address any questions you may have prior to utilizing our services or signing up. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our policies and maintaining a harmonious atmosphere within our facilities.

We would like to inform you that our premises are under 24/7 surveillance for security and operational purposes. By utilizing our services, you acknowledge and consent to the monitoring and recording of your interactions with our staff, including any communications or activities that take place on our premises. Please be aware that in certain situations, we may be required to share surveillance footage or recordings with relevant authorities as mandated by applicable laws or legal processes. 

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any dispute arising under or related to this agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
